Chef's Lithium wasn't full yesterday, but I think we can call it a succes after it had around eight clients for about three hours, and some hours later, there was again 6-7 clients for few hours. Some of the players were the same, but I counted that there were at least 10 players I haven't seen playing for few years - nice! At best, there were around 9-10 clients same time, not too far from full.

Saturday afternoon (around 15.00 - 16.00 CET) was probably a litle too early, since there were only 3-4 players during that time. Players started appearing about 1-1.5 hours later, so we probably should fix next weekend games for early evening. Or then everyone was just waiting until there were enough players, but it is impossible to say which way it was.

To fixing: Should it be weekend again or should there also be a week match? Saturday is surely a good day for playing, but lithium could overally starting to be more active if there are more players twice a week. It could also keep players more interested when they don't have to wait an almost full server for a week.

What would be the best day? Tuesday? Wednesday? I would go for (late) wednesday evening - let's say around 20.00 CET. But other days, times also do, if you feel it's not the best time. If there is no other suggestions, I'll start fixing for wednesday too.

This Will Probably be My Final Effort

It's been again too quiet for too long. I now have decided to try this again - probably final time. If this absent of players continues, I admit it and won't update this blog again, therefore stopping this attempt of bringing Lithium Quakers back together and playing. However, if I - with serious help of others - can bring some activitity to European lithium scene and to this blog, more updates will come and probably some place suited bette for lithium players to gather.

This time I'm gonna contact to many more old lithium faces, and am doing my best to get the most influential players to visit here - in hope of getting more interest from all old lithium players around Europe. Still I, 'course, gonna contact to all lithium players I can, and trying to bring as many as I can back to lithium. But what I can contact alone is little; it's probably somewhere around 20-25 - not enough. And that's why I can't do this alone.

If you're still want to play lithium, this is the final chance to make effort for it here. I will forget the whole thing if this fails, and there are no new attempt from me to get players bact to lithium. It's easy: visit and comment - damn, you don't even need to say anything if you don't wanna. Just sign on the comment page with your original/best-known nick.

May sound stupid just to comment/sign here, but that way we know how many are up to lithium and is it any worth to join Chef's Lithium server, or some another lithium server in Europe (XS4All is probably the only alternative, not my fave place). I think if we could manage even 20-30 different nicks, that could do the trick already - so comment/sign! And get your mates here too.

I'm ready - you?

Lithium Needs More Activitity

It has been again too quiet for over a week and not getting any better. Since we played on Chef's 10 days ago, there have been no players, which is basically the starting point.

I very seriously suggest to comment your ideas here (and state your nick), because:

-it will make others see you really are in for lithium; players join more easily
-it's a good thing that at least some lithium players gather somewhere
-we know better is there any point to join chef's lithium (or another lithium server)
-we can decide a day, when we will go to play lithium with bigger group (doesn't mean it's the only time/chance to play)

Of course, I can't force anyone - I can just suggest. I also suggest to check the site frequently, there might be updates and information if some matches are arrenged.

Now, what do you reckon? Is there any need to decide some special day for bigger matches or should we just go to server and wait players to join? What I can say, it's rare when someone joins a 1/12 or 2/12 clients server, so I think there should be some once a week arrangement when we will go to play with bigger group. Preferably, more than once - more regular playing. And after a while, hopefully those arrangements aren't needed anymore.

First Decent Mathces in Chef's Lithium

Yeah, we had some good mathes yesterday. There were nine players at best, if I'm correct, which is probably more than any european lithium server has had in the last two years - great! And some of players, who've said they're still interested in lithium, haven't showed up - soon server might be full, 12/12 clients!

Can't say, myself, is it too much for Chef's Lithium server, yesterday was probably the fullest day there and the server seemed to handle it well, though I had some minor problems with connection - first time there. It doesn't look like there will same crap lag than cardassia, if/when it's full, but we'll just have to wait and see. Yesterday was fine anyway.

I'm to contact few players more, and see what happens. Hopefully they're still interested. And I think we should go back there again ( the sooner the better), and play - 9/12 is much more fun than 3/12, which just turns to full armor camping match. I at least enjoyed those 6-9 players matches much more.

That's about it. Getting better already.

Start

Alright, so - this blog is created to get players back at european lithium scene, which has been nearly dead for past few years. I've decided with [TNC]Dark that is better to try and do something for Lithium rather than just watching it dying completely, and we'll welcome any help we can get. If you want to ask something, contact jonzvaan@hotmail.com (MSN and email, both do).

Looking at European Lithium Scene as it is now, sorry to say, but it'll never get better if we are just waiting on our computers for some random guy to visit some lithium server once in a year. Even those random visitors are rare and only few will find their way back to lithium, so again servers are left empty for days, weeks, and sometimes even for months. If this continues too long, eventually there aren't any servers left for playing lithium in Europe. If we could get some players back, maybe it takes off the ground when other players are starting to notice there is some activitity again.

What we are basically trying do is to contact lithium players, give them IP to Chef's Lithium server (160.45.60.210:27911), and trying to convice as many players as we can to start playing again. Everyone who're still interested in playing lithium, I suggest to join Chef's Lithium and also try and get your Q2 mates back. One player can probably lure only one or few players back, but if everyone get that few back, the cause is worth. Every player counts now. We've already get some players back, which is a start, but it probably won't last if there isn't more to come.

So, Why Chef's Lithium? There aren't many choices left for Europe. There are no custom maps in xs4all, and it is the same for almost all european lithium servers. Chef's Lithium have good variety of customs maps (and few original), with many of them being good old maps from Cardassia (ztn2dm1, ztn2dm2, ztn2dm3, Kick, Spasmo1, grdm1, unrdm1, D-lite, rene51, etc.), and also some "new" maps from Cardassia's last map cycle (semper06, dakyne4, dm4ishq2). It is a server that has maps for all tastes, from big to mid-sized and small maps.

If you feel some other server is better for this, please say so.

So iIf we're still interested in playing lithium, we should try getting players back. In fact, we should have done this few years ago, but it's still worth to try, imo.

-[TNC]Quack/Piip/Koy-

Idea for creating this blog came from [Nrg]Karma/[A]Protos/Whatever's the nick player is using now.
